Jan. 18

Today there was no news of note from the trap checking.  I continued on with my reading by moving to Chapter 4 of the third panda survey book, which details human disturbance to giant panda habitat.  I think it will be a depressing chapter but I will update you all on the main findings as I get more into it.  The Chopsticks book is also coming along.  In the afternoon, I revisited my earlier work on the animal reintroduction review in an attempt to construct a poster to visualize the findings.  Just trying to keep busy with various projects, as we are now in the point of the field season when the days just seem to all run together and it’s easy to get sucked up in a vacuum of monotony.
